Whether we're welcoming your child to Kindergarten or your family is new to our district, here are some of the things you'll need to know.

How to:

Pay for school fees and activitiesCashless SchoolsASD-S schools are cashless. Families create an account, add their child, and pay online for things such as field trips and student fees.
Notify the school when my child will be absentSafeArrivalsReport an absence through the app/site or the automated phone line. Families are asked to use Safe Arrivals to report absences instead of sending notes or calling/emailing the school.
See grades, attendance, assignments and more PowerSchool Parent PortalFamilies can stay engaged in their child's learning through PowerSchool. Your school provides the Access ID/password needed to connect your child to your account.
Find out about busingTaking the Bus

BusPlanner		Students eligible for busing do not need to sign up. Learn more about how busing works on our Taking the Bus page. To find details on your child's route and be notified of delays sign up to BusPlanner.

Students are assigned to a school according to your address. Students may change schools if they have moved to a new address or if special permission is given by the district. Find out more about changing schools.

Each school will have a list of school supplies on their website. Some schools collect a school fee and provide any needed supplies. Don't worry if you're uncertain. The school can provide you or your child more details on their first day.

Students should also pack a lunch and snacks on their first day. The school will provide details on their lunch program if you wish to participate.

Families can reach out to the school about course scheduling prior to their child's first day, however, students are also welcome to meet with the school guidance team to help them determine their classes once they arrive at school.
