District Education Council Vacancies

A vacancy on the Anglophone South District Education Council exists for the following Sub-Districts: 5, 10,11, 12. Persons living in the areas identified by Elections NB online at http://www.electionsnb.ca/content/enb/en/maps/school-districts.html may be an eligible candidate.

Sub-District 5Sub-District 10
The following schools are located in Sub-District 5:

●St. Malachy’s Memorial High School  
  The following schools are located in Sub-District 10:

●Belleisle Elementary School
●Belleisle Regional High School
●Dr. A.T. Letherbarrow Primary School
●Hammond River Valley Elementary School
●Hampton Elementary School
●Hampton High School
●Hampton Middle School
●MacDonald Consolidated School  
Sub-District 11Sub-District 12
  The following schools are located in Sub-District 11:

●Norton Elementary School
●Sussex Corner Elementary School

●Campobello Island Consolidated School

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must live in the sub-district for which there is a vacancy
    • You must be 18 years of age or older
    • You must be a Canadian citizen
    • You must not be an employee of the school system

If you are interested in serving as a District Education Council member for the current four year term, (2027-2031) and you meet the eligibility criteria outlined above, then you are encouraged to express your interest in writing to:

Your letter must address each of the four eligibility requirements, provide a mailing address and daytime contact information. Submissions must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026.

The Anglophone South District Education Council will forward the names of eligible applicants to Education Minister Claire Johnson who will select the applicant to be appointed.
